AILC highlights Guardian news article on the future of LSCBs

4th May 2017

This week, a leading lawyer has spoken out in a Guardian article about the likely harm to children as a result of the abolition of LSCBs. Richard Scorer acclaims the good work of LSCBs in relation to CSE and states, “With the abolition of LSCBs..real losers will be our most vulnerable children”.  AILCs (Association of Independent LSCB Chairs) tweets on this have received positive responses across LSCBs and other national bodies, with Children England advising “We surveyed VCS organisations in London, re safeguarding, and many cited LSCBs as a source of consistency in turbulent times….report coming out May.”
