Child Protection Workshops

10th December 2018

Child Protection Workshops commenced in July 2018 and they have been taking place across the County within each Locality.

Child Protection Workshops are an opportunity to learn about Safeguarding developments within Norfolk. The idea with the workshops is that we ALL develop knowledge and help make connections that perhaps have not been made before.

An example of some of the feedback received – “Social Workers find these a useful forum to learn in a relaxed way about the expectations of Child Protection Conferences”.

In line with the Children and Social Work Act 2017 there will be a move away from Local Safeguarding Children Boards, to Safeguarding Partnerships. The Child Protection Chairing Service is keen to build on existing Professional links and share good practice, new initiatives and ideas for how we can all work together more effectively moving forward.

If you are interested in attending a Child Protection Workshop in Norfolk please contact Gaynor Bane (Independent Reviewing Manager – Child Protection) on 01603 222288. Gaynor will then be able to signpost you to the next available date and time.
