How do I become a member?
What sort of training do you offer?
All applicants must be over 18 years of age.
For Extended basic level training such as Substance Misuse, E-safety, Safeguarding Children & Mental Health, Understanding Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest in this type of course. Once we have 10 or more delegates, we will contact you to arrange a course date.
What level of training do I need?
For those that come into contact with children and have a duty to report concerns you would need our basic level Introduction to Child Protection Training. For those that have specific responsibility for safeguarding children in your organisation you would need our Designated Child Protection Officer Training (Introduction to Child Protection to be completed first). For those that have responsibility for contributing to assessments on children and families, and may be asking to be part of the child protection plan, you would need our Core Programme training. For those with responsibility for recruiting in your organisation would need our Safer Recruitment Training. If you need any advice on which level training you need please do not hesitate to contact us.
How much is training?
This depends on which course you enrol on. Mixed basic level child protection training, and any other half day course is £15 per person for members, £30 per person for non members. For core programme level and any day-length courses the price is dependent on the size of your group/club/organisation. For more information on training costs click here.
